Portland Timbers Adopt-a-Club Monthly Fitness and Nutrition Tips for July

Hello MTSC Coaches:

Here is the first installment of the Portland Timbers CenturyLink Adopt-a-Club monthly fitness and nutrition tips. Karim Derqaoui, Timbers strength and conditioning coach, would like to share some tips for a healthy food and beverage program for your youth athletes. See the attached document, “Nutrition for Soccer Players” and feel free to share with all members of your team.

There are lots of great coaching clinics available through PYSA. Whether you are new to coaching youth soccer, are looking for great new ideas, or need assistance with training on specific skills (e.g. goalie training), PYSA has training available to help you.

FIRST, HERE ARE A COUPLE OF GROUND RULES

1. PLAYERS MUST BE REGISTERED.

No child may participate in any MTSC activity (game or practice) until the child has completed registration with the Club and with PYSA. As a coach, you must have the white registration sheet from our Registrar, for every one of your players.
