Having a Team Parent is an extremely valuable asset to your team. It is important to identify a team parent who will organize the team and keep both players and supporters informed. Having a team parent allows you to focus fully on coaching, the job that you signed up to do. It also gives your team an opportunity to identify parents/supporters who have great gifts and talents that they would like to share. Another important concept regarding having a team parent is that we, as coaches, can sometimes offend or have difficulties within our team. The team parent can be a point of contact for those to voice their concerns and help problem solve. Finally, I have designed a “TEAM PARENT TEAM” on TeamSnap and as you identify your team parent, they will be placed on “the team” and will essentially be the link between the MTSC Board and you and your team.

Team Parents are simply the behind the scenes superstars who will help make your soccer season AWESOME!
