Welcome to Mt. Tabor Soccer Club!
Mount Tabor Soccer Club provides affordable recreational soccer to hundreds of kids, grades K - 8, in Southeast Portland. All youth are eligible to play. We are a non-profit, volunteer-run organization. Our goal is to enhance the lives of families in our area, strengthen our community, and further the game of soccer.
Thanks to our great volunteers—coaches, team parents, board members—who give so generously of their time and talents.

Soccerfest and Fall Season
The fall season kicked off in great form at Soccerfest on Sunday August 8. The weather was perfect and our new home field location seemed to be a hit! Soccer clinics were well attended with over 40 players and 40 coaches attending clinics throughout the day...kudos to all players and coaches who attended!
Thanks to John Madding at PYSA and UK International for providing the coaches at the clinic (free of charge).

New Uniforms Available!
Score It has the new MTSC uniform available to purchase now.
We have worked with Score It to make the process as smooth as possible; any player can walk in and purchase a jersey starting today. The majority of jerseys have been set up with numbers and the Mt Tabor crest, so the earlier you get in, the more likely players will be to get the number they want.
Fall 2010 Uniform Policy Change Overview
Next Fall, we are requiring families to purchase jerseys for their players. There is no requirement to purchase shorts or socks. The uniform will continue to be any pair of black shorts with no pockets (no change to policy) and green socks. As before, one new pair of socks will be given to players new to the club. We acknowledge that the $20 cost of the jersey is a new expense, but the cost of the MTSC uniform is still
Fall Soccer 2010 Registration
Registration for the Fall 2010 soccer season has begun! Check out our registration checklists for new and returning players on our forms page to get your player all set for an exciting Fall soccer season with Mount Tabor Soccer.
Please Note: A copy of your child's birth certificate (not an 'original' copy) will be required if this is the first time your child has registered with Mount Tabor Soccer Club.

New Uniform Policy for Fall 2010
All players U7 through U14 (Excluding U14 for Fall and Spring 2010/2011) are required to purchase a jersey starting in the Fall 2010. Kick and Chase (U6) families do not need to purchase a uniform - see below.
Changes in your club board
Mount Tabor Soccer Club needs volunteers to function. Our club is fortunate to have folks who will step up and do what is needed. We have a few fresh faces on the board. These changes became effective in November and this month.
Patrick Boyle is now in the role of club president.
Malcolm Hodge has taken Patrick's place as fields coordinator.
Amber Wagner is our new registrar.
Don Brown is our new coach coordinator.
Game Schedules and Details
Game schedules can be found on the PYSA website, and are usually made available one or two weeks before the season begins. Click on the 'Spring League' or 'Fall League' links to find the schedule listings.

Two-Adult Rule
Our club requires teams to obey the two-adult rule: Never be the only adult with a player or players (other than your own children). Parents, please be aware of this rule. DO NOT DROP OFF YOUR CHILD if the coach is the only adult present. Stick around until another adult shows up. Coaches, please encourage your assistant or parents to plan so it is easy to obey the two-adult rule. The two-adult rule protects the child and the adult.
Registered players only
Players are not registered until they are registered with PYSA. This generally takes a few days after the time our registrar receives the necessary form and fee. You can ask our registrar for confirmation, but please DO NOT make assumptions. No player except those who are completely registered should set foot on the field - practice or match.
