Welcome to Mt. Tabor Soccer Club!

Mount Tabor Soccer Club provides affordable recreational soccer to hundreds of kids, grades K - 8, in Southeast Portland. All youth are eligible to play. We are a non-profit, volunteer-run organization. Our goal is to enhance the lives of families in our area, strengthen our community, and further the game of soccer.

Thanks to our great volunteers—coaches, team parents, board members—who give so generously of their time and talents.

Parents: Thanks to you for supporting your player!

Mount Tabor Soccer Club is a member club of Portland Youth Soccer Association.

Winter Futsal

Portland Futsal is registering teams for the Winter season.  Futsal is a great way for kids to hone their ball handling and passing skills outside the game on the big field.  Futsal in indoor soccer without walls.  The ball is smaller and heavier than the field soccer ball.  I have attached some FAQs from Portland Futsal and an article  that has great information about the game.  For more information go to: www.portlandfutsal.com or contact Paul Lomanto at 503.2.FUTSAL weeknights after 5:45pm or email paul@portlandfutsal.com

Peeling Uniform Numbers Resolution

Mt Tabor Soccer Club Families:

It has come to our attention that several of the Mt Tabor Soccer Club jerseys purchased from Score It Soccer in the Fall 2010 have peeling numerals on the back.  We want to let you know that John Fewkes from Score It has committed to fix all of the defective jerseys at no expense to our families. The numbers are heat pressed on the back and John was unaware that his heat press thermostat was nearly 30 degrees too hot.  The excessive heat damaged the numbers.

MTSC's Isabel Leonard Honored by Portland Timbers

Isabel Leonard was honored as MTSC's Most Outstanding player through the Portland Timbers Adopt a club 8/24/2011.  In an on field ceremony before the Timbers vs Chivas USA, Isabel was presented with a signed Sal Zizzo Jersey.  Isabel represents the finisest attributes of a rec player.

Mt Tabor Soccer Club/Portland Timbers Adopt a Club Most Outstanding Player Award and Runner up

First of all, thank you to all the coaches who took the time to submit a nominee for this honor.  We appreciate how difficult a task it is to pick just one player from your team that stands above the rest.  Our Mt Tabor Soccer Club (MTSC) board members voted after Soccerfest and it was a very close vote from a list of players who were all worthy.

Availability of MTSC Uniforms

Score It has the MTSC uniform available for purchase and they are ready now! John has numbered about half of them.  So, if you want a specific number on the back, get in early while there are blanks available.  PLEASE do not wait until the last minute to get your uniform.  You will likely be disappointed with the choices in sizes and numbers if you do.
